Secure Shredding and Data Destruction Services for Education

Schools, colleges, universities and training providers handle sensitive paperwork every day.

Student files, admissions forms, exam scripts, attendance records, parent correspondence, staff records and finance documents all need careful handling from creation through to secure disposal.

When these documents reach the end of their retention period, they should not be placed in general recycling, office waste or unsecured storage. They need to be destroyed through a secure, traceable process.

Pulp provides secure on site shredding and data destruction services for education providers across the Republic of Ireland. We help schools, campuses, administration teams and records departments clear confidential paper, archive records and data bearing media in a controlled, documented and GDPR aligned way.

Secure Shredding for Student, Staff and Administration Records

Student files, staff documents, exam records, finance paperwork and confidential correspondence can contain personal data, assessment details, support information or institutional records. A misplaced file, exam document or student record can create compliance risk and damage trust.

Our on site shredding service helps your team keep sensitive paperwork under control until the point of destruction. Documents are collected securely and shredded at your premises, with service documentation provided once the job is complete.

What We Shred for Schools and Campuses

Paperwork can build up across school offices, administration departments, staff rooms, exam offices, records rooms, finance teams, HR departments and campus storage areas. Pulp can provide locked consoles for regular use, secure bins for larger volumes, or a one off collection for archive clear outs.

How the Service Works

Step 1: Book Your Service

Tell us what needs to be destroyed, where it is located and whether you need a regular service or a one off clear out. We can help you choose the most suitable option based on your volume, site setup and internal security requirements.

Step 2: Store Documents Securely

For regular collections, we can provide locked consoles for confidential paper disposal. These give staff a simple and secure place to put end of life documents during normal work.

For larger clear outs, we can arrange secure bins or collection containers for archive boxes, records rooms, campus storage areas or administration offices.

Step 3: On Site Shredding

Our team arrives at your premises and completes the shredding on site. Witnessed shredding is available, giving your team direct visibility over the destruction process where required.

Step 4: Certificate of Destruction

Once the shredding is complete, we issue a Certificate of Destruction confirming the service has been carried out.

Service Options for Schools, Colleges and Universities

Regular Scheduled Shredding

A scheduled shredding service is useful for schools, colleges, universities and training providers that generate confidential paperwork throughout the academic year. Locked consoles can be placed in agreed areas such as school offices, administration departments, exam offices, HR teams, finance offices or campus buildings.

This gives staff a secure disposal point and reduces the chance of sensitive documents being placed into normal waste or left in unsecured areas.

One Off Archive Clear Outs

Records rooms, storage areas and administration offices can hold years of old student files, exam documents, staff records and finance paperwork. When documents have reached the end of their retention period, Pulp can provide a secure one off shredding service to remove and destroy large volumes of paper safely.

This is useful during school breaks, campus moves, office reorganisations, records reviews, audits or storage clear outs.

Hard Drive and Media Destruction

Student, staff and administration data is not always held on paper. Decommissioned laptops, hard drives, storage media, office devices and old IT equipment may still contain sensitive information.

Pulp also provides secure data destruction for data bearing media, helping organisations manage old devices with the same focus on security and traceability.

Compliance Support for Student and Staff Records

Education providers handle personal data across many areas, from admissions and student support to examinations, HR, payroll, finance and safeguarding. Once records are no longer required, disposal should be secure, controlled and documented.

Our process supports this with secure handling, on site destruction and a Certificate of Destruction, helping your organisation keep a clear record of how confidential documents were destroyed.

What Happens After Shredding?

Once your paper has been shredded, the material enters the recycling stream. It can then be used in the production of new paper based products such as tissue, card and other paper goods.

This allows your organisation to dispose of confidential documents securely while also supporting responsible paper recycling.
